"Sacred Cows"

A sacred cow is an idea, custom, or institution held, esp. unreasonably, to be above criticism.

Most times when we pray in Jesus' name or speak to others about Him,an instant mental picture of Him forms in our mind/brain. In our western culture, this image is a blonde haired, blue eyed white man with a halo behind his head.It is this a image/idol that resides in a place of honor within many Christians' home and/or church.

My apologies to you religious fanatics, but I must burst your bubble. That mental picture of yours is not the biblical Jesus Christ. More often than not, we were told this lie as children by our grade school teachers; and our Sunday school teachers vicariously ingratiated this false image/idol on Sunday mornings - before the main service began inside the sanctuary where once again, this same image/idol more than likely held a place of honor for the entire deceived congregation to see.

Isaiah 53:2b-3 (KJV)... he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him; (3)He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows,and acquainted with grief;and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised and we esteemed him not.

Taking the above into consideration, would it not be accurate to assume that His physical countenance was plain and that he portrayed the look of melancholy?

Ps.45:2 Thou art fairer than the children of men; grace is poured into thy lips.

I believe that the word "fairer" is describing His inner countenance (His Spiritual attributes),much as He was changed upon the Mount of Transfiguration,yes?

Ps.44:3b but thy right hand, and thine arm,and the light of thy countenance, because thou hast a favour unto him.

In contrast, there is also a description of the Son of Man in Revelations 1:13-16. If you read it, you will see that the word white referred to His hair and his head. The color gold refers to the girdle He wore. No blue eyes are mentioned,although it says they (His eyes), were as the flame of fire.

Here is what the discoverers (white/Freemasons), used as a symbolic pictorial of the LORD...

yellow/golden hair = glory of GOD, royalty and transcendence. Also opulent wealth and spiritual power,insight and enlightenment.
blue eyes = celestial and heavenly power, spiritual dominance and heaven bestowed rulership. It also signifies GOD's appearance.
white skin = symbolizes triumph, victory in conflict, righteousness, and purity. It also symbolize holiness and success.
halo = divinity

In conclusion, I must add the following,the word" halo" is not found in the Bible.In truth,the word halo derives from the word "hallow" which means to make holy or sacred, to sanctify,consecrate, or venerate. It's adjective form is "hallowed" and is used in The Lord's Prayer. See Matt 6:9-13 and Luke 11:2-4(KJV)
